Meeting Report: May 8, 2009
On May 8, 2009 Make met in the new Center for Student Innovation and spoke with the Director, Dr. Ian Gatley. This was our final meeting for the 2008-’09 academic year. We discussed projects, our goals, and possible future collaborations with the Rochester Museum and Science Center.
Make met with Associate Professor Clark Hochgraf and learned about his [electric] “e-bike” movement. We even got to take one of the bikes out for a spin. E-bikes function as a great way to spread awareness of electric vehicles, and serve as a platform for developing neat related projects (think autonomous e-bikes, or e-bikes that charge when parked in solar-powered bike racks). Make may collaborate with Professor Hochgraf in the future on e-bike projects.
